REDWOOD CITY

This very small back yard on a canal consisted of a small concrete pad and a patch of struggling lawn. The homeowners wanted an enclosed patio for lounging and a safe place for their two young children to play. Except for the erosion planting along the canal, plants are in stone planters that also provide additional seating in the narrow space.
